Most companies publish values that nobody could reasonably disagree with, which is why most published values are useless. Ours are written down because they settle real arguments: about whether to take a piece of work, how to price it, what to tell a client when an estimate turns out to be wrong.
The test of a value is not whether it sounds right on a website. It is what happens when honouring it costs something.

What These Look Like on a Bad Week
Anyone can hold a value when it is free. These are the commitments we hold to when a project is behind, an estimate was wrong, or the honest answer is not the one a client wants.
- We tell you early, not neatly
- If a date is going to slip or an approach is not working, you hear it as soon as we know, not once we have a recovery plan that makes it sound managed. Early bad news is worth more than late good news, and it is the harder thing to say.
- We will talk you out of work
- If the smallest engagement is enough, or if the thing you have asked for will not solve the problem you described, we say so. Selling a larger scope that underdelivers costs more in reputation than it earns in revenue.
- The person who scoped it stays on it
- You will not meet senior people during selection and then be handed to a team you have never spoken to. Continuity between the promise and the delivery is the point of working with a smaller organisation.
- We say what we do not know
- Where a number cannot be verified, a reference cannot be shared, or an outcome depends on something outside our control, we state that plainly rather than filling the gap with a confident estimate.
- We do not claim other people’s work
- Where delivery involves the wider group or a partner, we identify who did what. Every claim on this site is held to the same rule, including the ones that would look better without it.
