Five Stages, Seven Disciplines
Where a technology or AI programme has to move from ambition to sustained value, we run it through five client-facing stages supported by seven delivery disciplines. You can engage across the whole journey or bring us in at the single point where support is actually needed.
Define: Discover and Prioritise
We map the processes as they actually run rather than as they are documented, test how ready the data and the organisation genuinely are, and rank candidate use cases by business value against feasibility. You finish this stage with one prioritised problem, a named owner who will live with the result, a measured baseline and an agreed definition of success.
Ready: Case and Architecture
We put a defensible investment case in front of the people who have to fund it, and settle the questions that become expensive to revisit later: what data is required and where it comes from, the target architecture, the security and compliance position, and what is built rather than bought. You finish with a funded roadmap and a foundation that will not need rebuilding in order to scale.
Apply: Assure, Then Build
Guardrails and failure modes are tested before anything is engineered, not after. We then build the solution the problem actually warrants: conventional AI, generative AI or governed agents. You finish with a production-grade solution proven safely against the real use case rather than against a sanitised sample.
Embed: Integrate and Adopt
The solution is connected into the workflows and systems people already use, human decision points are placed where judgement genuinely matters, and the change is managed alongside the teams who will own it. Capability transfer is deliberate rather than incidental. You finish with intelligence being used inside day-to-day work, and ownership that has a name against it.
Scale: Optimise and Realise
We track value against the baseline set in the first stage, monitor performance and model drift, and tune cost and support arrangements as usage grows. You finish with performance, resilience and business value that keep improving rather than quietly decaying after handover.
The Five Checks That Run Through Every Stage
These are not a governance layer applied at the end. They run continuously, and each one is somebody’s explicit responsibility.
- Decision Gates
- Each stage closes with an explicit go, adjust or stop decision, taken by named people against criteria agreed in advance rather than carried forward on momentum.
- Evidence and Traceability
- Material decisions, test results and approvals are recorded as they happen, so the reasoning behind a system can be reconstructed months later by someone who was not in the room.
- Risk and Compliance
- Regulatory, data protection and sector obligations are assessed at every stage and revisited whenever the system materially changes, not signed off once at the start and assumed to hold.
- Adoption Health
- We monitor whether the solution is genuinely being used, by whom and for what. A fall in usage is treated as a delivery problem to investigate, not a training problem to escalate.
- Value Tracking
- Benefits are measured against the original baseline and reported honestly, including where a result has come in below the case that justified the work.
How We Govern Delivery
- Named client and delivery leadership
- Agreed scope, milestones and service levels
- Quality and security controls
- Regular reporting and risk management
- Structured transition and knowledge transfer
- Continuous improvement and innovation reviews
Five Ways to Work With Us
The right engagement type depends on how certain the scope is, who needs to own the outcome, the pace required, the risk being carried and the level of ongoing operating commitment involved. We will tell you which one fits, including when that is the smallest one.
| Engagement | Best fit | What you receive | Commercial basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discovery and Roadmap | The problem or the scope still needs defining. | A measured baseline, an agreed target state, a sequenced roadmap and an investment case. | Fixed, time-boxed fee |
| Proof of Value | Feasibility and measurable value both need validating before wider commitment. | A bounded working solution, the evidence behind it and a clear decision on whether to scale. | Fixed price, or capped time and materials |
| Use-Case Delivery | A defined transformation or system delivery with agreed scope. | Design, build, integration, testing and adoption support through to live running. | Capped time and materials |
| Dedicated Team | Priorities evolve through a managed backlog rather than a fixed scope. | A named squad and an agreed monthly capacity that you direct. | Monthly team capacity |
| Managed Service | Ongoing operation, support and service ownership. | Structured transition, day-to-day support, agreed reporting and continuous improvement. | Recurring fee against a service level agreement |
